Supreme Court Directs AP, Telangana To Fill Teacher Posts - Sakshi Post

New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to fill up the vacancies in teacher posts in both the states by the end of February. Reacting strongly against the delay in teacher appointments, the Supreme Court initiated an inquiry into it.

Counsel for Telangana, responding to this informed the apex court that the recruitment process has been completed and the documents are to be submitted. However, the counsel added that few posts have not been filled due to the pending cases in High Court.

The advocate representing the Andhra Pradesh government cited the reason of DSC examinations in the state for the delay and asserted to the Court that the teacher appointments will be filled by the end of February. Noting the responses, the Supreme Court postponed the next hearing to the first week of March.
