Cyclone Titli Relief: Visakhapatnam Steel Donates Rs. 30 Lakh

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Steel plant or Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd., (RINL) announced a donation of Rs. 30 lakh to the chief minister's relief fund for victims of Cyclone Titli in the easternmost district of Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh.

PK Rath, the chairman and managing director of RINL presented a cheque of Rs. 30 lakh to AP chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu. Rath met the AP chief minister at Palasa in Srikakulam.

The CMD of RINL told Chandrababu Naidu that the amount being given was a part of CSR, corporate social responsibility and that the workers of the steel plant would be contributing an additional Rs. 65 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, taking the total amount being given as the steel plant's contribution, to close to a crore of rupees.
