Kadapa, Ideally Suited For Steel Plant: YSRCP MLA Siva Prasad Reddy
Amaravati: YSR Congress Party MLA Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy said that the establishment of Kadapa steel plant would be beneficial to the people of the Rayalaseema region and will provide employment to youth. Speaking at Maha Dharna organised by YSRCP to achieve steel plant, he said Kadapa has abundant natural resources, water, electricity, iron ore and land which are needed to establish a steel plant. He mentioned that Kadapa was the ideal place for establishing the steel plant.
The YSRCP MLA questioned the intention of TDP in holding protests for steel plant while it enjoyed power by being an ally of the BJP for the last four years. He said the government should establish industries to develop people and the region without being driven by motives of profit. The TDP was holding fake protests with an intention to politically attack YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Despite having 19 MPs, TDP was unable to get the steel plant work initiated in the last four years, he remarked. "If only AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had protested when he differed with the centre all the 67 YSRCP MLAs would have given support to him," he said.
