Vijayasai’s Barbs On Lokesh: ‘Maa Lokam’ Is Freewheeling During Lockdown
HYDERABAD: YSR Congress Party MP V Vijayasai Reddy fired yet another round of tweet salvos on TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh on Saturday. The Rajya Sabha Member of the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh came up with a series of tweets to train his guns against the father-son duo.
In one of them, Vijayasai rebuked Nara Lokesh “for freewheeling on a bike with his son Devansh on in tow on a skateboard and roaming the streets, in utter disregard for the lockdown curbs in place.” Using a video showing Lokesh and Devansh on the streets, the YSRCP MP commented: “While a billion plus people of India are grimacing the hardships and adhering to lockdown by staying at home, here is the great son of Chandrababu Naidu (Lokesh, he nicknamed him as ‘maa lokam’ in Telugu) unabashedly roaming the streets on his bike in brazen violation of lockdown. What’s more, he is even teaching his son Devansh how to skateboard in his ‘mother tongue’. Hats Off!”
In another tweet, Vijaysai Reddy also poked fun at Chandrababu Naidu for his utterances over the one lakh rapid testing kits that the Andhra Pradesh government has received from South Korea. He said that, given a chance, Naidu would have boasted to the world claiming credit for the kits that landed in the state.
“The one lakh rapid testing kits have arrived to the state from South Korea in a special flight. The ‘Yellow Virus’ will need to spend sleepless nights now. The Yellow Media should clarify if there is any other state in the country where anyone is taking initiative on this scale like Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Glad, there was no opportunity for Naidu to brag about it. Otherwise, he would have had no qualms in boasting that it was his idea to get the rapid testing kits from South Korea,” Vijayasai tweeted.
In yet another tweet, the Rajya Sabha MP castigated Chandrababu for being critical of state government’s intent to approach the Supreme Court over the cancellation of GOs that allow English medium of education in state government schools. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu does not want children of the poorer sections to study well in English medium like his grandson Devansh.
