AMARAVATI: "YS Jagan is a man of action and stays far from any kind of unwarranted publicity," said YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy.

Taking to twitter on Monday, the YSRCP leader lavished praise on Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that if any task was successful, the chief minister would give the credit to the officials. But if there were any lapses, he would take the responsibility upon himself.

He made these comments in a veiled reference to Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu's recent statements, which are always hyped up by the ‘Yellow Media’.

In his inimitable style, Vijayasai Reddy flung barbs at the TDP Chief saying, “he can no longer resort to all the hype and hoopla as the leader of the opposition, can’t hold dime a dozen video conferences and press meets in a day. And the ‘yellow media’ will never take note of this. Chandrababu will never give up his trait of using even a calamity for his own political mileage. And seeing the overzealousness of the yellow media in its slanted coverage of news events of late, one gets the impression that they are so upset about the dreaded Coronavirus coming one year late, which only shows their cruelty,” Vijayasai Reddy quipped.

Vijayasai Reddy further accused Chandrababu Naidu of plundering hundreds of crores of rupees of compensation money that is to be given to the victims of Hudhud and Titli cyclones and distributed it among his cronies.

But, justice was delivered to the cyclone victims by YS Jagan, who ensured the distribution of the cyclone compensation after he assumed power of Andhra Pradesh, he tweeted.

“At a time Coronavirus has assumed pandemic proportions threatening the mankind, Chandrababu is crying buckets for missing out on a golden chance to make the most of this contagion. Even in the midst of cyclones and deluge, he would make sure the media focus is only on him. Wonder how one can be called a visionary or the most experienced even after sacrificing 30 pilgrims’ lives during the Godavari Pushkarams just to satiate his thirst for undue publicity,” he added.

“YS Jagan has laid out a route map for the district administration to deal with the crisis even as district collectors were given the freedom to enforce all measures as laid out by the chief minister. This is the difference between YS Jagan's administration and Chandrababu's 'all talk and no show' , he commented.
