Chandrababu Using Sand Mining Issue For Political Mileage: YSRCP Srikanth Reddy

YSRCP Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy - Sakshi Post

Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy came down heavily on Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu for using the construction workers issue for boosting his political mileage, and making false statements about the sand mining policy in the state.

Speaking to reporters at Tadepalli on Wednesday, Srikanth Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu was nothing but a political broker and that the people of the state were of the opinion that a person like him should not be in politics. He said that Chandrababu was the reason for the state bifurcation and now he was making all efforts to cover up for his mistakes by maligning the state government.

It is well known that the TDP leaders were behind the sand mining mafia and had looted sand worth crores during his regime. Not just that he pushed the state into a debt trap, he said.

Within five months of assuming charge Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as brought in revolutionary changes in the State, he said. The CM was in the process of conserving the natural resources in a systematic way by issuing related policies, he said.

Speaking further, the YSRCP leader said that the TDP leaders were not able to digest the fact that the CM had brought in people friendly policies in such a short span.

Clearing the air about the sand mining operations in the state, Srikanth Reddy said that once the rains stop, the mining would resume and there would be no shortage of sand in the coming days.

Taking a dig at the Chandrababu's son TDP MLC Nara Lokesh's hunger strike for sand mining today, he said that it was as though he was dieting, he scoffed.

In a message to the construction workers, Srikanth Reddy requested them not to listen to the falsities propagated by the opposition. "The Government takes responsibility for you and your family's welfare", he assured.
