Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Quits TDP
Guntur: TDP Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi resigned from the Telugu Desam Party primary membership and MLA post. He submitted his resignation to the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Sundayfueling speculations that he might either be joining the BJP or YSRCP.
On Friday he met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalli. Hours before he had met BJP MP Sujana Chaudhary on the same day This meeting gained political significance as there are speculations over Vamsi entry into BJP. It is expected that the MLA will join the ruling YSRCP after Deepavali.
MLA Vamsi, on the other hand, has been staying away from all the activities of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party for some time. Vamsi also met Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy, who recently visited AP. This has given rise to speculations in political circles over Vamsi entry into Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
But, earlier Vallabhaneni Vamsi condemned media reports over Sujana Chaudhary inviting him to join the BJP.
After TDP’s dismal failure in the 2019 elections, many TDP leaders who were fed up with Chandrababu Naidu attitude joined the BJP. Two days ago, former minister and TDP leader Adinarayana Reddy also joined the BJP.

On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh police registered a cheating case against Vamsi for cheating AP voters by distributing illegal land registration documents before the elections.
