TDP Creating Unwanted Unrest In Palnadu For Political Mileage: YSRCP - Sakshi Post

Guntur: YSR Congress Party leaders allege that TDP’s 'Chalo Atmakur' rally was only causing panic among the people of Palnadu region in Guntur district. In response to the rally Andhra Pradesh Police put TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his son MLC Nara Lokesh and several TDP leaders under house arrest ahead of TDP’s Chalo Atmakur’ rally on Wednesday. Section 144 has been imposed in Narasaraopeta, Sattenapalle, Palnadu and Gurajala

In a counter to TDP's call for the rally, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders have also called for a rally where it said the "victims of the previous TDP term will narrate the "terror tales of Chandrababu Naidu-led government".

Addressing the media in Guntur YSRCP leaders said that, even though there were no issues to raise , the TDP leaders were trying create panic among people in the region. "But the people were not showing any interest to participate in this rally, which they have understood this act as a selfish motive by the TDP leaders," said Chilakaluripeta YSRCP MLA Vidula Rajani.

To counter the false propaganda, YSRCP will organise 'Chalo Atmakur' on September 11 where the victims of the previous TDP Ministers, MLAs and Speaker will narrate their takes of how they were harassed by the TDP party leaders and supporters when they were in power five years ago," YSRCP Sattenapalli MLA Ambati Rambabu said.

The party stated while Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is working towards bringing in a corruption free and transparent government, Chandrababu Naidu has been "trying to create imaginary situations and manufacture dissent by raking up non-issues".

During the previous government, YSRCP leaders, workers, and sympathisers were driven out of their villages, false cases were foisted on them and were harassed in Narsaraopeta, Vinukonda, Sathenapalli, Chilakuripeta and other constituencies of the district, they alleged. (with inputs from ANI)
