Exposed: Sujana Chowdary’s Murky Land Deals In AP Capital Amaravati

Amaravati: Rajya Sabha member of Parliament Sujana Chowdary, who shifted his loyalty is from the TDP to BJP after election results were announced, claimed that he had no land in the capital region. However, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana nailed his falsehoods at a media meet here on Tuesday.

Sujana Chowdary is learnt to have 623.12 acres in the capital region in the name of his family members apart from himself. Sujana aka Yalamanchili Satyanarayana is said to be involved in defrauding banks to the extent of Rs. 6,000 crores.

The Rajya Sabha MP continues to insist that neither he nor his family members have a cent of land in the capital area though the reality is that they own land to the extent of 623.12 acres. The Enforcement Directorate had established this fact before the elections and had stated that Sujana Chowdary and his family members and shell companies had acquired 623.12 acres in the capital area.

Sujana Chowdary who is currently in the BJP is said to have resorted to insider trading by acquiring land himself and through his close associates from farmers at a throwaway price. He is now reported to be making all efforts to protect his land holdings whose estimated worth is said to be in the range of Rs 1 lakh crores.

WHOSE LAND IS THIS SUJANA?

Of the 120 companies owned by Sujana Chowdary, Sivasatya Pigments PVT Ltd holds 110.6 acres of land in survey Nos 432-1, 403–5, 433, 434, 402–1ఏ, 429, 428, 412, 410–2, 427–2, 413, 415, 416, 431, 437, 399–7, 404–11, 407–4 in Gudimetla of Chandarlapadu mandal in Krishna district. Agreements acquiring this land at a throwaway price of Rs 5 lakhs per acre were made before the announcement of Amaravati as capital was made. Interestingly, once Amaravati was announced as the location of the new capital, prices of land in this region shot up to as high as Rs 50 lakhs per acre. It becomes clear that Sujana Chowdary benefitted to the extent of over Rs 50 crores in this murky deal.

In 2018, these lands were transferred to the Rajya Sabha MP's company. In a similar instance, 11.56 acres were acquired in the name of Sujana Chowdary's brother Yelamanchala Jatin Kumar and registered under the name of his company Siva Jyoti Flycon Blacks Pvt Ltd. This land is located in Survey Nos 404–1, 404–5 and 404–6, which was purchased at Rs 5 lakhs per acre in 2014 and registered then itself.

In Survey Nos 6-1A, 7-1, 8-1, 9-2A, 6-2, 6-3A, 8-1, 9-1A, 9-1C and 9-1D Sujana Chowdary acquired 87 acres of land in Chandapuram of Nandigama mandal in the name of SGK Biotech Pharma Pvt Ltd. Once again, the mode of purchase followed the same pattern. Agreements were made before the announcement of the capital city after the land was bought at throwaway prices from farmers. In 2018, the land was registered in the name of the Rajya Sabha MP's firm.

Land acquired in the name of Sujana’s personal assistant Harshananda, to set up Sri Kalinga Greentech chemicals

Sujana Chowdary's brother Yalamanchili Jatin Kumar set up Sri Kalinga Greentech chemicals in the name of his brother's personal assistant Harshananda. 126.44 acres of land in Gudimetla of Chandarlapadu mandal in Krishna district was acquired at dirt cheap prices from farmers in survey nos 399–7, 402–1ఏ, 403–4, 5, 6, 404–1, 5, 6, 9బీ, 11, 12, 410–2, 412, 413, 415, 416, 417–4, 427–2, 428–1, 2, 429, 431, 432–1, 433, 434 and 437. It is evident that they gained Rs 56.89 crores after cheating farmers who sold their land at a mere Rs 5 lakh per acre. Moreover, Sujana Chowdary and his family members tried to grab 130 acres of forest land in the vicinity.

Land acquired in the name of Yalamanchili Sudhir

Sujana Chowdary acquired a total of 36 acres in the capital city region in the name of his brother's son Yalamanchili Sudhir. He bought an acre each in survey Nos 88-1 and 88-2A while the remaining chunk of land of the 36 acres was bought in survey nos 115–3, 116–3, 91–3, 98–2, 97–1, 90–4, 92–1, 88–3, 100, 91–1, 97–2A, 58, 69-2, 102-4, 101-2B and 89-2 among others. This land is located in Moguluru of Kanchikecherla mandal and was bought before Amaravati was declared as the capital city.

Similarly, in Batthinapadu of Kanchikacherla mandal, Sujana acquired 25 acres of land in the name of his nephew Yelamanchili Sudhir in Survey Nos 38-1, 22-1, 39-1A, 20-1A1, 50-1B, 21-2A, 21-1B among others. Following the same pattern, the land was acuired at a lower price while the registrations were done in 2015.

Land purchased in the name of Yelamanchili Jhansi Lakhsmi

The Rajya Sabha MP acquired 1.26 acres of land in the capital area in the name of his close relative Yelamanchili Jhansi Lakhsmi in Survey No. 295 of Ravela in Tadikonda Mandal. The registration was made as in other cases in 2015.

Sujana also bought 8 acres of land in the name of his close relative Yelamanchili Jhansi Lakshmi in survey Nos 431-E, 459, 460, 461A, 460-1D, 461-F, 460-F Yedlapadu village of Yedlapadu mandal. Registration for these holdings was also done in 2015. The Rajya Sabha MP acquired 1.2 acres of land in Navuluru of Mangalagiri mandal in the capital region located in Survey Nos 364-3A, 370-B1, and 371-1A and 0.60 acres in 364-3E and 371-A2. This land was registered in the name of his close relative Yelamanchili Ratnakumari.

Land bought in the name of Satyavati Biolife sciences

Sujana acquired 19.5 acres of land in Adavipavulapadu of Nandigama mandal well before the announcement of the capital city in Survey Nos 174–3, 174–5, and 176–2. The land was acquired in the name of Satyavati Biolife sciences. Once again, farmers lost heavily in the bargain.

Land purchased in the name of brother Yelamanchili Sivalingaprasad

Sujana Chowdary acquired 4.385 acres of land in Survey nos 40, 41-2A, 41-2C located in Konakanchi of Penuganchiprolu mandal in the name of his brother Yelamanchili Sivalingaprasad and 1.99 acres in Survey Nos 251-1, 251-2 in Vellanki of Veerulapadu mandal. This land was also acquired just before Amaravati was announced as AP capital.

The Rajya Sabha MP acquired 14.07 acres of land in Survey Nos. 15-04, 7-2, 7-3B, 7-3C, 8-2A, 9-1B and 9-2B located in Gokarajupalli of Veerulapadu mandal in the name of his brother's daughter Yelamanchali Rushikanya. These tracts of land were acquired just before the announcement of the new capital.

Sujana Chowdary also acquired 13.39 acres in the name of his father Y Janardhan Rao in Ponnavaram of Veerulapadu mandal. Incidently this village was adopted by the Rajya Sabha MP.

He also acquired 3.5 acres in survey No. 41 in the name of his brother Y Sivaramakrishna, 4.03 acres in the name of his brother Y Sivalingarasad in Survey No. 78 and 6.14 acres in Survey 38-2 in the name of his wife Yelamanchili Sushila Kumari.

In Kanumolu of Bapulapadu mandal, the Rajya Sabha MP bought land in the name of his close relative Y Jhansi Lakshmi to the extent of 2.9 acres in Survey no.330 and 19.11 acres in Survey Nos 331, 303, 325 and 332. In Arugolanu mandal, he acquired 13 acres in the name of Y Jhansi Lakshmi and Y Raghavender in Survey Nos 196, 199, 192 and 181. The former TDP Rajya Sabha MP now in the BJP, also bought 20 acres of land in the name of Yelamanchili Kiran Kumar in Survey Nos. 180, 181, 196, 199, 192 and 352 and 18 acres in the name of Yelamanchili Ratnakumar in Survey Nos 180, 196, 352, 199, 192 and 181. As in other instances, these deals too were struck before the announcement of the capital.

Sujana Chowdary acquired 80 acres of land in the name of his close relatives Yelamachili Ramakrishna (34.37 acres), Yelamanchili Ranjeet (6 acres) and yelamanchili Sampath (43.97 acres). This land located in Godavarru of Kankipadu Mandal was acquired in the name of Pradhata Agro Industries and is situated in ?Survey Nos. 256, 257, 235, 273, 123 and 260. As in all other cases, these lands too were acquired at cheap prices from farmers before the location of capital city was announced.

Sujana Chowdary also acquired 1.36 acres of land in Survey Nos 188, 188-2 and 188-3 in the name of Yelamanchili Sampath and Yelamanchili Ramakrishna. Apart from this, land (2.73 acres) was also acquired in the name of Vijaya Pradatha Agro Industries. The land, located in Penamaluru and Krishna district were bought at dirt cheap prices. Sujana Chowdary subsequently got the land registered in 2015.
