Computers Stolen From Kodela’s House Before Search Operation
Guntur: Just hours before Assembly authorities were likely to conduct searches in the house of former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao at Narasaraopet in Guntur district on Friday, Kodela's staff have claimed that there was a robbery in the house and two computers were stolen. The security guard had reported that two computers were stolen from Kodela's house.
The twist to the case has come at a juncture where Assembly authorities with the help of police are likely to conduct searches at the house of former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao and recover the missing. The computers which belong to Speaker’s office have been allegedly diverted to his personal office here.
Kodela Siva Prasad Rao, who is in a spot for using the furniture for personal purpose has also admitted that he had shifted some furniture and equipment from the Speaker’s Chambers to his camp office in Sattenapalli. The former speaker has been facing charges of taking away Assembly's furniture without prior intimation. A case was also booked against him by the Assembly officials, after noticing the missing of property belonging to the Assembly.
As per reports expensive sofa sets, dining tables, and large number of chairs were kept in Kodela's house. Air conditioners taken from the Assembly were installed in Gautam Honda showroom in Guntur, which belongs to his son.
With this new controversy that has left the TDP leadership red-faced, they are now considering whether to extend support to former speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao.
