Chandrababu Worried About Illegal House Getting Submerged: Ambati

Ambati Rambabu - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu criticised Chandrababu Naidu saying that while farmers and the people of Andhra Pradesh are happy with overflowing water bodies and reservoirs, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is worried about his house getting submerged. Addressing the media here on Saturday, Rambabu said that people from everywhere were coming to see the gushing Krishna waters and were pleased with the sight. Chandrababu and his family members, however, were anxious about his house getting submerged, he said. The Sattenapalli MLA wondered why Chandrababu was continuing to live in such a vulnerable house which had come under flood threat.

Ambati compared Chandrababu's anger with the floods to Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's furious and desperate reaction to the Modi government's decision to scrap Article 370. He reminded media men that the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had clearly stated that the Praja Vedika, Chandrababu's rented house in Lingamaneni Estates and several other houses were all illegally constructed buildings. YS Jagan had also pointed out that these constructions stood in the way of the river flow, he recalled. In spite of being aware of this fact, Chandrababu continued to stay in the illegal residence, Ambati added. While Chandrababu's house got submerged by floods, his career got drowned in the assembly elections, the YSRCP leader commented sarcastically.

As has been reported earlier, the TDP's chief house in Lingamaneni Guest House got flooded following which officials advised personnel present there to move to safer places. Ambati slammed Chandrababu and TDP leaders for trying to divert the attention of the people from the main issue of illegal construction of the house the TDP chief was staying in.

The Sattenapalli MLA flayed Chandrababu and his supporters for obstructing revenue officials who went to the TDP supremo's house to serve a notice. It was in the TDP chief's interest to vacate the house, Ambati said. He wondered why Chandrababu had not constructed a house of his own in the 5 years for which he was in power. The YSRCP leader further said if Chandrababu were to apply for official accommodation in his capacity as Leader of Opposition, the state government would examine his request.
