Delegates look At AP CM As Brand Ambassador For The State
Amaravati: The just concluded Diplomatic Outreach initiative seems to be successful in more than one way with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy being cynosure of the delegates’ eyes that stole the show with his honesty and urge to develop the state and in the process has packaged himself as the brand ambassador of the state for investment.
Delegates cutting across continents have expressed confidence in the Chief Minister and about his style of functioning, and have given affirmative assurances about the possible investments in the news state in manufacturing, pharma, energy, IT, food processing, bio-technology and other fields.
There were enquiries from Germany and OPEC nations as well which would materialize in big ventures in the State and the delegates were impressed by the way Chief Minister has packaged the state as a destination for investment and trade.
Denmark Consul General Jette Bierum said that her country has great interest in maritime solutions besides ports and we will work in areas of mutual interest. When we had an exclusive talk, the Chief Minister sounded very positive and honest and his presentation has been very impressive.
We understand the needs, expectations and interests of Danish companies and that of the people of Andhra Pradesh as well. I am very much impressed with the Chief Minister’s assurance of one point (single window) contact and there is scope for building partnerships in SMEs and the PPPs.
The Indonesian Council General Ade Sukender said, the trade relations between the two nations goes back a long way and there would be scope for investment in palm oil, coal, agri products, rice, garlic, sugarcane, chilli and other products.
Botswana High Commissioner Lesego Motsumi said that the Chief Minister’s assurances have put the proposed partnerships on a win-win situation and is mutually beneficial. We have interests in textile, pharma and allied fields. The economic engagement with the state would be encouraging and the assurance of corruption-free governance is a welcome sign.
She has said her country is known for its diamond reserves and diamond polishing units could be a potential area. There is also scope for medical tourism in Andhra Pradesh.
Turkmenistan representative has shown interest in in investments in agriculture, fertilisers and textiles while Sri Lankan High Commissioner said that there is scope for expansion of Brandix.
Deputy High Commissioner of UK said that his country would be interested in electric vehicles.
In all eight ambassadors, four High Commissioners, 13 Consul Generals, two Trade Commissioners and one Deputy Consul General, Charge DE ‘Affairs, Technical Director and Trade Attaché have attended the Event from 25 countries.
The AP Cm Took to twitter to show his gratitude towards everyone who made it a point to show their presence, He said “With sincerity, commitment and honesty our govt will ensure that no stone will be left unturned for the rise of industry and infrastructure in AP.
