TDP-Jana Sena Poll Alliance In Municipal Polls Likely
Hyderabad: As municipal polls in the state near, the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena are likely to enter into a poll alliance to come out as the Opposition face against the YSRCP.
While the TDP had won 23 Assembly seats, the Jana Sena has won only one seat in the Assembly election.
Political analysts had earlier speculated that the parties were to enter into a pre-poll alliance, but they did not and both of them lost heavily to the YSRCP led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. And, also the parties were overconfident of winning the elections and underestimated the wave for the YSRCP government.
According to media reports, both the parties are in constant strain from party workers to stitch an alliance together shedding past inhibitions.
Reports state that N Chandrababu Naidu has put forth the proposal of a likely alliance with the Jana Sena with his confidantes. TDP is also in a precarious situation given many of its party workers are shifting to the BJP.
