Mekathoti Sucharitha Rubbishes Opposition’s Criticism On Power Outages
Guntur: Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha rubbished the allegations of the Opposition that there are widespread power outages in the State.
Speaking to press persons here on Sunday, she said that uninterrupted power supply is being provided for domestic uses and nine hours for agriculture purposes. However any interruption to power supply due to strong winds in rainy season was normal and should not be labelled as one leading to power crisis in the State, she added.
Stating that the interruption in power supply has been considerably reduced under their government compared to previous TDP regime, she said that the YSRCP government's programme to provide free power supply to SC, ST households with 200 and below units was helping over two lakh families in the State.
