YS Subba Reddy Fires Nara Lokesh Over TTD Camp Office In Amaravati

TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam(TTD) Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy fired Nara Lokesh for making "irresponsible statements" over the construction of the TTD Camp Office in Amaravati.

Speaking to press persons on Wednesday the TTD Chairman clarified that he had only requested to set up a camp office and not the Chairman's office in Amaravati. This was being set up so that the TTD could have proximity to the new Venkateswara Temple, a replica of the main Tirumala Temple, which was being constructed there.

This was in response to the Opposition party leaders and Nara Lokesh criticising him saying that it was an additional burden incurred by the government for setting a Camp office there.

In a scathing attack on TDP MLC Nara Lokesh, YV Subba Reddy said that he had not entered politics through the "backdoor" like Lokesh did. YV Subba Reddy also said that he would not touch the funds from the TTD and if need be he would spend from his own pocket and help 10 people, he fired.

Meanwhile, YV Subba Reddy had earlier announced the cancellation of L1, L2, L3 Darshan and break Darshan for VIPs henceforth. He said the new development would come into force once the software is updated. He, however, assured that the Darshan for people who come under Protocol category would also be given Darshan in such a manner, without disturbing the common pilgrims, he assured.
