Roja Asks Chandrababu To Recall TDP Behaviour In Assembly 

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Chairperson (APIDC) and Nagari YSRCP MLA RK Roja derided former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for speaking as if he had great regard for procedures and decorum of the Assembly. She was addressing the media on Tuesday at the Media Point in the assembly during a brief break. Roja reminded the Leader of Opposition that it was ironic that Chandrababu, who did not allow NTR to speak in the assembly after dislodging the leader who received a massive majority in the elections, was now speaking of decorum and procedural propriety.

Roja also referred to the objections raised by TDP member, Atchannaidu on a remark and said that she found it comical coming from a member who was repeatedly disrespectful and discourteous. She reminded the media of some of the remarks of the TDP member about the current chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The Nagari MLA said that the TDP members thought that they could stall the Budget session through their obstructionist behaviour. Roja added that Chandrababu Naidu did not utilise the opportunity to speak on the budget because it was a flawless one. Instead he passed on the mike to his party colleague, Butchaiah Chowdary.

Roja slammed Chandrababu Naidu for saying that the AP government did not supply seeds to farmers. In fact, it was the TDP government which created a crisis on the purchase and procurement of seeds, she pointed out. YS Jagan had in fact, ordered for the procurement of 3.5 lakh quintals of seeds from other states to tide over the crisis, which was caused by the TDP.

Roja hailed the YSRCP government’s budget as a farmer friendly budget. It had provisions for all segments of society, she added. YS Jagan‘s model of welfare governance addressed all the needs of the farmers, she remarked.

The APIDC chairperson wondered why Chandrababu was so concerned about law and order now when peace prevailed in the state. She questioned him as to what happened to his anxiety when TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar assaulted a lady MRO and dragged her by her hair for objecting to his sand mining activities. Why did Chandrababu Naidu not allow a discussion on the call money sex racket in the House? Worse, during the TDP rule they suspended the Nagari MLA, a lady member on this issue, she recalled.
