Expedite Resolution Of Grievances Under Spandana: YS Jagan Tells Authorities
Amaravati: Lauding the efforts of authorities involved in Spandana grievance redressal programme, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy exhorted them to further strengthen the mechanism and expedite the time taken to resolve public issues, lest grievances would pile up and the initiative would lose its steam and credibility.
To take stock of the grievance redressal across the State, the Chief Minister held video conference with District Collectors and SPs here on Monday. He informed that 45,496 grievances were received State wide between July 1 and July 12.
"Continue to focus on improving the quality in addressing people's problems. The more you focus and give importance to the initiative, the more credibility it gets. Ensure that every one up to village level official is communicated that this is serious business," he told officials.
He particularly asked authorities to lay more on resolving grievances germinating out of Nellore, Prakasam, Chittoor, and Kurnool as more number of problems was being voiced by people. He added that he would track every district from his office in Amaravati.
Making it clear that corruption would not be tolerated, he asked officials to ensure that Spandana programme was conducted under their purview should be held in most humane and cordial manner.
The Chief Minister pointed out that there had been mistakes in obtaining quality seeds by authorities concerned. While directing them to weed out that selling spurious seeds and pesticides, he asked them to put a government stamp on every merchandise that farmer bought to give it authenticity.
On 'housing for all' promise, he asked officials to identify government lands in their respective districts so that by Ugadi every poor family got a piece of land.
Reiterating that education and health would remain top on his agenda, he asked authorities to enhance the infrastructure in schools and hospitals in their districts. He also informed them that the school curriculum would be completely renewed and an expert committee would be formed for the same. He asked officials to set up the reception at every police station to welcome people and resolve their problems with a smile and kindness.
