TDP Ruining Telugus’ Prestige: Kanna Lakshminarayana
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana lashed out at TDP alleging that the party leaders had ruined the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) conference, which was held in Washington DC in the United States of America between July 4 and July 6.
Lakshminarayana made these comments in relation to recent controversy that was witnessed in the TANA conference. When BJP national secretary Ram Madhav was addressing the conference on nationalism, he was jeered at and his speech was objected to by some who had claimed allegiance to TDP leader Nara Lokesh.
Stating that Lokesh and his "gang" had once shown their utterly disgraceful behaviour in public, Lakshminarayana said TDP leaders were converting TANA conferences into those meant to sing paeans to party, while bringing down the prestige of Telugus.
Taking to Twitter, he said: "In AP, the lotus (BJP) will bloom from your politics of ‘mud’slinging."
