Party MPs Recall Dr. YSR’s Welfare Schemes At 70th Birth Anniversary Celebrations

New Delhi: Members of the YSR Congress Party celebrated late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's 70th birth anniversary in the national capital. They recalled Dr. YSR's exemplary model of welfare governance on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Senior YSR Congress Party leader and the Party's Parliamentary leader V. Vijay Sai Reddy observed that though Dr. YSR is no longer amidst us, his welfare schemes will continue to ameliorate the suffering of the common man for decades to come. Vijay Sai Reddy pointed out that Dr. YSR emerged as the heartbeat of millions in his lifetime.

The YSRCP leader recalled circumstances in undivided AP in 2004. The sector of agriculture was going through a deep crisis. Farmers had turned into labourers. Dr. YSR took it upon himself to ensure that the

farmer is the backbone of society. The visionary leader proved this through his decisions and welfare schemes. Dr. YSR introduced a slew of welfare schemes for farmers and common citizens alike, be it loan waivers, free electricity to farmers, fee reimbursement, Jalayagnam, Arogyasri and a host of other pioneering initiatives.

The YSRCP Rajya Sabha member remarked that many of these schemes were discontinued later.

The chief minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is continuing these welfare schemes with renewed vigour and is walking the extra mile to ensure that benefits of welfare schemes accrue to the last individual in the state.
