Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the budget preparatory process with Finance Minister Bugguna Rajendranath Reddy, Advisor to Government Ajay Kallam, and heads of various departments here on Thursday.

YS Jagan specifically instructed them to ensure that the implementation of Navaratnalu found lion's share in the budget.

This will be YSRCP government's first budget after winning a massive mandate riding on the huge popular wave and full of expectations. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will present the budget on July 12. The budget sessions are likely to last for 15 days.

As the State is reeling under a massive debt burden of Rs 2,98,000 crore and huge revenue deficit, it is being closely watched as how the YSRCP government will make ways to tide over the financial crisis and increase its revenue resources. This apart, the first Cabinet meet had already agreed to 60 percent of promises made under Navaratnalu. In all, this budget will be an indicator of sorts as to how the government will maneuver its way that is beset with a yawning gap between its income and expenditure besides the slew of welfare measures.
