YSRCP Village Volunteers Are Not Like Corrupt TDP’s Janmabhoomi Committees: Vijayasai Reddy
New Delhi: YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha Member V Vijayasai Reddy requested the Central government to grant Kendriya Vidyalaya status to the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha located in Tirupati. Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, Vijayasai Reddy said that the institution should be granted an appropriate status as it had more than 60 years of history. He also questioned the Tourism Minister as to what measures were being taken to protect the foreign women tourists who were coming into the country.
Taking to Twitter, Vijayasai Reddy criticised TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu for crying foul over the court cases filed against him, saying that it was political vendetta by the ruling party. However, at the same time they have been blowing their trumpet that the TDP had worked honestly when they were in power.
In his inimitable style, he questioned the TDP Chief as to why he was he fearful of those cases if he had done nothing wrong. "Do you think we will believe you after you have eaten into the state coffers like termites and at the same time you recite sermons," he tweeted.
In an earlier tweet, he scoffed at Chandrababu whether he was remembering the Janmabhoomi programmes after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy started appointing unemployed youth as Village Volunteers recently. "You will know the difference between the Janmabhoomi Committees and the Village Volunteers systems very soon ... until then you need to wait patiently," Vijayasai Reddy advised.
