Spandana Redressal Initiative Kicks Off To A Tremendous Response

Amaravati: 'Spandana' the grievance redressal programme announced by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy kick-started successfully on Monday morning.

The initiative was started in all district collectorates at 10.30 am, where government officials received grievance petitions from the public. People thronged the collectorates, where a special grievance hall was designated to seat and receive citizen complaints.

Some of them received instant solutions for their problems where the district officials from different departments proactively resolved their issues.

West Godavari: District Collector Muthyalaraju and Joint Collector Venugopala Reddy received people at the Eluru Collectorate office. An interesting fact noted was that the officials who came in late to the work were not allowed into the office. Apart from the Collectorate, the district SP Office along with police sub-divisional and circle offices were opened to the public for the programme under the aegis of the District SP Navadeep Singh Grehwal.

Nellore: Collector Seshagiri Babu was seen collecting grievance petitions from the public on Monday morning. He was seen directing officials to provide a Tricycle to a differently-abled person named Mohan. Officials immediately granted the Tricycle to him, much to his joy.

Guntur: In the Ponnuru Municipal office, 'Spandana' programme had a tremendous response. People from different walks of life were seen entering the halls with their petitions. YSRCP MLA Kilari Rosayya also took part in the programme and was seen talking to the public. YSRCP Bapatla MLA and Deputy Speaker Kona Raghupathi was seen interacting with the public and reviewing their grievance petitions in Stuartpuram, Vedulapalli, Muragontapadu Village meetings in Bapatla mandal.

Krishna: Collector A Md. Imtiaz had said that the first 'Spandana' programme was conducted successfully. Earlier he had conducted a meeting with mandal revenue officers (MROs) and other officials concerned regarding the establishment of village secretariats and appointment of grama and ward volunteers.

He asked the officials to accord top priority to grievances submitted by the public and compulsorily issue an acknowledgment slip along with information about the time required to address the issue

Tahsildars were told to conduct the Spandana programme at every mandal headquarters and further ensure that village volunteers were made available by August 15 and village secretariats by October 15.

As per the directions from CM YS Jagan, state DGP Gautam Sawang said that 'Spandana' grievance redressal units were set up in Superintendent of Police and Commissioner of Police offices across the State. He said the novel initiative was attracting people to lodge their complaints directly with officials concerned.
