Chandrababu’s Attempts To Gain Sympathy Over Praja Vedika Row Backfired: Vijayasai Reddy
Amaravati: YSRCP general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his "gang of leaders" of scheming to gain sympathy from people at large by making the demolition of Praja Vedika controversial.
Taking to Twitter, Vijayasai Reddy said such conspiracy on the part of Chandrababu had resulted in a backlash from the people. "How could it cost Rs 9 crore for a mere shed erected with asbestos sheets - is what people are questioning now. A discussion has already started among the people as what could be the extent of corruption that had taken in Capital affairs," he wrote on the microblogging site.
In the same breath, he asked whether Chandrababu Naidu's issues constituted as public issues for the TDP. "When it emerged that Chandrababu was holding discussions with TDP leaders to discuss about people's issues, we were of the feeling that they would provide valuable inputs to the government. But coming out with resolutions on Chandrababu getting notices for his rented house, security being downgraded for his Naravaripalli residence are surprising. Are Chandrababu Naidu's issues become people issues?" he questioned.
Responding to TDP MP Kesineni Nani who made a fuss about Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's meeting with Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, Vijayasai Reddy hit out: "When your [TDP] president supported BJP, everybody should endorse it. When he takes a U-turn and joins the Congress camp, it should be termed as a great decision. Just because you adopted a hostile attitude towards Telangana CM, should we also follow suit? YS Jagan is very much aware when to wage a war, and when and how to conduct himself in a peaceful manner."
