25 Lakh House Pattas To Be Distributed On Ugadi
Undavalli: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced at the Collectors’ Conference here on Monday morning that 25 lakh house pattas would be distributed on Ugadi. He instructed collectors and senior officials to identify government land and to acquire land if necessary to put this in place. Ugadi, the day of distribution, should be a day of celebration in villages, he said.
YS Jagan also said that earlier when Pattas were given, the beneficiary did not know where his land was. He said that this should not be the case now. Land should be clearly marked and demarcated and it would be registered in the name of the woman of the household, he announced.
YS Jagan also cited the example of a nursing college with two faculty members. He pointed out that he had received a complaint from one of the girls students from the college located in Chittoor district. He expressed his anguish about the lack of regulatory mechanisms in place and urged collectors to check these matters thoroughly.
