Vasireddy Padma Appointed As AP Women’s Commission Chairperson
Amaravati: Vasireddy Padma has been appointed as the new Chairperson for the AP Women's Commission. Andhra Pradesh (AP) Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to have selected the senior YSRCP leader and party spokesperson for this role. Her appointment was confirmed and the State Government issued a GO on Thursday ratifying her appointment .
TDP leader Nannapaneni Rajakumari who is the current Chairperson is said to have submitted her resignation to the Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan on Wednesday, which was accepted by him.
Vasireddy Padma hails from Krishna district and belongs to the Kamma community. She joined the YSRCP in 2011 along with her husband Kanikarla Wesley and is an active leader in the party. As a party spokesperson, she has been vociferous in her opinions about the former TDP's regime and it Chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
