Don’t Spread Canards: Botsa Satyanarayana To TDP On Old-age Pensions

Muncipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana clarified that YSRCP had never said that it would enhance the old-age pensions to Rs 3,000 in one-go - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Muncipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana clarified that YSRCP had never said that it would enhance the old-age pensions to Rs 3,000 in one-go. He asked the Opposition not to spread canards on the issue.

Speaking during the motion of thanks to Governor ESL Narasimhan, Satyanarayana clarified that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had always said that his government would increase the pension in a phased manner. He also said the YSRCP government would grant pensions to all eligible in a family unlike only to one person which was case under the TDP regime.

Hitting out at TDP for what he termed as "misconstruing" the promises by YS Jagan during his Padyatra, he said YSRCP had brought down the eligible age for pensions from 65 to 60 years.
