Andhra Pradesh Know Your Minister: Pilli Subhash Chandrabose
Amravati: A three-time minister, Pilli Subhash Chandrabose bagged the cabinet ministerial berth for revenue, registration and stamps in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
Pilli Subhas Chandrabose had been the minister twice in the YS Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet and once in former chief minister Konijeti Rosaiah's cabinet.
In fact, Pilli Subhas Chandrabose was among the first few leaders who resigned the Rosaiah cabinet and came to join the YSR Congress party. He had given up his minister post as well as resigned as an MLA from Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district.
He has been an ardent loyalist to YSR and his family.
However, although there was buzz that Pilli Subhash Chandrabose would get the plum post of the home ministry, given his seniority and loyalty to the party and YS Jagan Mohan, he has been offered revenue, stamps, and registration in the fifteenth Andhra Pradesh assembly.
In what the YSRCP called a "socially-inclusive Cabinet," 25 new ministers were Saturday inducted into the YS Jaganmohan Reddy's Council of Ministers in Andhra Pradesh.
State Governor E S L Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers at a glittering public function adjacent to the Secretariat at Velagapudi in capital Amaravati.
The 26-member Cabinet, including the Chief Minister, has three women members; two from the Scheduled Castes and one from the Scheduled Tribes.
