Andhra Pradesh Know Your Minister: Kodali Nani
Vijayawada: YSRCP’s MLA candidate of Gudiwada, Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao, popularly known as Nani was sworn in as the Minister in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's cabinet on Saturday.
Nani emerged victorious from the Gudivada Assembly constituency in four elections.
He won two successive elections in 2004 and 2009 from Gudivada Assembly constituency in Krishna district, where he contested as a TDP candidate.
In 2012, Kodali Nani quit TDP and joined YSR Congress Party led by YS Jagan. In 2014 elections as well, he secured a thumping majority against TDP in the Gudivada segment. In the recently held Assembly elections, Nandi defeated TDP candidate Devineni Avinash with a margin of 19000 votes.
Among the 25 new ministers, who were inducted into the YS Jagan’s Council of Ministers in Andhra Pradesh, Kodali Nani has been given the post of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
