Kesineni Nani Rejects TDP Chief Whip Post, Eyes BJP Entry?
TDP's Kesineni Nani who was elected Lok Sabha member from Vijayawada recently, gave a jolt to his party stating that he could not take up the responsibility of party whip in the lower house as desired by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. Oddly enough, the Vijayawada MP chose to respond through a facebook post which has now gone viral. Speculation is that Nani might join the BJP.
Less than 24 hours after the TDP supremo nominated him as deputy floor leader and party whip in the Lok Sabha, Kesineni Nani responded through his Facebook post declining the offer. Chandrababu chose CM Ramesh as the Deputy floor leader in the Rajya Sabha.
Thanking Chandrababu for the opportunity, Nani said he did not deserve such a responsible position and suggested that it be given it someone more competent. Apologising for his inability to take up the position, Kesineni Nani said that serving people was of paramount interest to him.

Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Kesineni Nani would join the BJP, given the backdrop of his meeting with Central minister Nitin Gadkari sometime ago. On its part, the BJP is making its moves to strengthen its party outfit in AP as is evident from the fact that Kanna Laxminarayana had stated that several leaders from the TDP were in touch with him. In the light of these developments, Kesineni Nani's polite refusal of Chandrababu's offer has set tongues wagging in political circles.
