Andhra Pradesh Will See The Difference From Day 1: Parthasarathy

Senior YSRCP leader and Penamaluru MLA Kolusu Parthasarathy said that people of Andhra Pradesh will see a marked difference from the day YS Jagan Mohan Reddy takes charge of the state. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Andhra Pradesh for handing the YSR Congress Party a massive mandate. He said more than 50% of the people in the state had voted for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership, reposing their faith in his credibility.

The Party spokesman pointed out that the mantle of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's legacy had fallen on the able shoulders of YS Jagan and that he would carry it forward with dedication. People expressed their faith in YS Jagan's leadership trusting him as a man who would be true to his word and who would fulfill all the assurances given to them.

They cast their vote for YSRCP with the full knowledge that YS Jagan would work for the people unlike leaders who looted the state and its resources indiscriminately. Parthasarathy pointed out how the YSRCP chief remained committed through the five years from 2014 as a responsible leader of opposition. He reminded the media that YS Jagan had taken up a host of protests for farmers, students, Special Category Status and against excesses of TDP government on YSRCP workers.

YS Jagan's 4 month, 3648-km-long padayatra through the entire state was a milestone which scripted history and was a major factor in taking him closer to the people of the state, he said.

The Party spokesperson traced the growth and revolution of YSRCP from two MLAs from 2011 to an overwhelming majority of 151 in the current assembly in addition to 22 Lok Sabha MPs.

In his interaction with Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, YS Jagan struck a very cordial note and had fruitful discussions on water-related issues. Similarly, in his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister designate apprised the PM of the state of economy of Andhra Pradesh. He also appealed to him to grant Special Category Status to the state.

Parthasarathy told media persons that YSRCP would continue to fight for the rights of the people of the state and ensure that the Centre fulfills all the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
