Chandrababu Resigns As Chief Minister
Hyderabad: After the stinging defeat registered by his party, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tendered his resignation to Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday afternoon. Governor accepted his resignation with immediate effect.
While thanking Chandrababu for his services rendered to the State, the Governor requested him to continue in the office until the new government takes over.
Meanwhile, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will take the oath of office as chief minister in Vijayawada on May 30. Prior to that, the YSRCP will hold its legislative party meeting with elected representatives on May 25 to endorse the candidature of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the next chief minister. A letter to this effect will be sent to Governor, and he will invite Jagan and his party legislators to form the next government.
