with less than a day to go for the counting process to begin for Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly election results, punters have got into the act of betting on the teo big parties in the state—YSRCP amd TDP, according to sources. A hot favourite with those placing bets is obviously YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The buzz is that YS Jagan's party is the half-money favourite with punters while TDP is an even money to 2:1 favourite. Punters are also betting on the prospects of individual candidates and in this segment as well, YSRCP is surging ahead of its rival party. They are said to be placing bets on the winning prospects of Ambati Ram Babu in Sattenapalli, who is a half-money favourite while Kasu Mahesh Reddy in Gurajala is said to be an even-money choice, according to sources.

Similarly, YSRCP MLA Roja is an even-money favourite in Nagari, while Pawan Kalyan seems to be the preferred choice of Punters in Gajuwaka and not Bhimavaram. TP's Nara Lokesh and YSRCP's Alla Rama Krishna Reddy, are even-money candidates from Mangalagiri.

The buzz has it that the stakes are high for punters in much the same way as they are during the Sankranti season when cockfight takes place, particularly in the twin Godavari districts.
