YSRCP Conducts In-House Training Program For Counting Agents
Vijayawada: With the counting date fast approaching, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has started a training program for its party election agents, the YSRCP Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates. The training camp, which started on Thursday morning, is being held at A1 Convention Centre on Bandar Road in Vijayawada.
The program which is being conducted as per YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's instructions is aimed at imparting basic training to the counting agents, who would be playing a key role in the counting process which will be held on May 23. They would include party elections agents, counting agents, YSRCP Lok Sabha and assembly candidates, district parliamentary convenors and election observers.
YSRCP National General Secretary V Vijayasai Reddy had earlier sent a circular to all the party leaders instructing everyone to be present at the training camp on time.
As per schedule, in the morning hours participants would be familiarised with rules and regulations about the counting process. In the afternoon session, the agents would be trained about the precautions to be taken during the counting process. They would also be given guidance as to how to report any irregularities, which may occur during the counting process to the Elections Commission officials.
Senior YSRCP leaders like V Vijayasai Reddy, Ummareddy Venkateswarulu and others are conducting the training program. The party leadership is also seeking the expert guidance of retired IAS officers like former Chief Secretary Ajay Kallam and former Special Chief Secretary M Samuel in the training program.
