AP Chief Secretary May Show Rule Book To Chandrababu On Cabinet Meeting
Vijayawada: Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh L.V. Subramanyam stated that the proposed cabinet meeting can be held subject to approval of the Election Commission of India, according to media reports. He further said that the agenda of proposed meeting would be sent to the EC for approval.
LV Subramanyam sought the agenda for the proposed meeting from the chief minister's office (CMO). The chief secretary held discussions with the AP Chief Electoral Officer, Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, who is learnt to have advised him to follow the rule book as spelt out by the Election Commission.
The chief secretary is also learnt to have asked the Election Commission to elucidate to the chief minister in detail on the Model Code of Conduct in force. LV Subramanyam admitted that he received a note from the CMO to prepare for a cabinet meeting on May 10. In this regard, the chief secretary sought the guidance of the Election Commission.
