Raghuveera Reddy Writes To KCR Seeking Support For Congress
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh PCC President Raghuveera Reddy has sought the support of TRS party chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for Congress to form the government led by party president Rahul Gandhi at the Centre.
In a letter, Raghuveera Reddy thanked KCR for speaking in support of special status to Andhra Pradesh and also recalled Rahul Gandhi's assurance of making his first signature on the special category status immediately after resuming the post as Prime Minister.
The Congress leader also wrote letters to the political parties - TDP, YSRCP, Jana Sena urging them to support the Congress at the Centre with a united front. Mentioning that AP suffered due to the injustice meted out by the Modi led NDA government which promised the accord the special status category, Raghuveera Reddy also appealed the political parties not to support the BJP government. Interestingly, the Congress and TRS are at loggerheads with the party leaders defecting to the TRS.
