Ram Gopal Varma Calls Chandrababu The ‘True Father of Lokesh Pappu’
Hyderabad: Director Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV has been put through a lot of flak by the Chandrababu led TDP government about the release of his controversial film 'Lakshmi's NTR.' After a lot of drama, the film was set to be released on May Day after Andhra Pradesh High Court lifted the stay.
Ram Gopal Varma who was supposed to conduct a press meet in Vijayawada as part of the film promotion, was detained at Gannavaram Airport and sent back to Hyderabad amidst high drama. The police had denied entry to the director who was confined for more than seven hours at the airport before he returned to Hyderabad.
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had tweeted in support of RGV and reacted strongly to the incident. Condemning the episode in strong terms, he asked Chandrababu Naidu if this was his definition of democracy. He questioned Chandrababu as to what mistake had the director done and condemned the way the police were being used by the state government, indicating the state of affairs in AP.
RGV appreciated and thanked YSRCP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for condemning the Government's action in Vijayawada.

He also went on to tell him that even after 40 years of his distinguished political career and serving three terms as a Chief Minister, Chandrababu was scared of a film called 'Lakshmi's NTR.' In a sharp jibe he said that his fear about the film's release truly proves that Chandrababu was Lokesh Pappu’s father.

RGV went on to add that he was surprised that even at this age Chandrababu cannot hide the truth from the public.
RGV who had come back to Hyderabad and conducted a press meet and slammed the AP government for its excesses and the ordeal that he had to go through in Vijayawada. He also informed the press that he would consider what do be done about the future course of action and what legal recourse he would take about his denial into the state of Andhra Pradesh.
