YS Jagan Attacker Admitted In Rajahmundry Hospital; Severely Ill

Janupalli Srinivasa Rao who attacked YS Jagan last year   - Sakshi Post

Rajahmundry: Janupalli Srinivasa Rao, who attacked YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a knife last year, was admitted to Rajahmundry Government Hospital after he seriously fell ill. More details are awaited about his health condition.

It may be recalled that Srinivasa Rao attacked YS Jagan with a sharp knife on October 25 last year in Vishakapatnam airport. Fusion Foods, where Srinivasa Rao had worked, belonged to a TDP leader. Within hours after the incident, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, DGP, and TDP leaders came out in the open to falsely point out that the assailant was actually a fan of YS Jagan. The murder attempt on YS Jagan was thus trivialised.

The case was first handed over to Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the State government. Based on the instructions from the top leaders in the government, the case was merely confined to the assailant alone, and the actual conspirators and accomplices were left out. It was only after the High Court intervened, the case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Meanwhile NIA official Sajid Khan accused the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders of trying to mislead the investigating agency from the start of preliminary investigation.
