Kodela Acted As TDP Worker, Not Speaker: YSRCP

C Ramachandraiah - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: YSR Congress said that the antics of Kodela Siva Prasada Rao cannot deter the Party from pursuing or justice as he has a history of poll-related violence besides undermining the office of the Speaker by conducting himself as a TDP worker.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, party general secretary C Ramachandraiah said, ‘he is the most controversial politician and was in the thick of poll related violence since long and there was a bomb explosion at his house during election time which was pursued by CBI. Chandababu Naidu had used his good offices in the AB Vajpayee government to bring him out of the case and his character has never changed ever since."

The violence on the April 11 was perpetrated and provoked by him as he went inside the polling booth and stayed put for hours provoking voters standing out and when the doors opened he staged a drama with his torn shirt which people cannot believe as there is no explanation as to why he has shut himself up for so long in a polling booth, the YSRCP leader said.

When he was Speaker of the State Assembly, he degraded the institution by behaving like a TDP worker and gagging the voice of the Opposition Leader, members as also in the case of suspension of MLA RK Roja.

He did not act wisely when 23 MLAs defected and there was no disqualification.

His comments that YSRCP candidate Ambati Rambabu was not equal is derogatory and in fact he was shunted out of his native Narsaraopet and in 2014 won by a very narrow majority, C Ramachandraiah said .

On the transport of huge quantity of gold of TTDP, seized in Tamil Nadu, he said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should speak out on the issue.
