In AP, People’s Mandate Will Be For A Decisive Change
Appealing to the people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for change and credibility, YSR Congress has said that the ruling TDP has a poor opinion on women, farmers and marginalised sections of the society.
Addressing a string of public meetings across the state, YSRCP leaders YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Vijayamma, YS Sharmila and YS Bharathi said that the mandate should be for a decisive change as the state has been pushed into backwardness with people’s welfare taking a backseat. It’s time to usher in change which only can see the development of the state.
Women have been ill-treated by TDP. Chandrababu did not react in the proper manner when a lady tehsildar was assaulted by his Party MLA, he did not take action against the person responsible for the suicide of a young budding student Ritikeshwari as the accused is close to the TDP leadership, the Call Money Sex Racket was quickly pushed under the carpet as the ring leaders were in the garb of TDP colours. With elections coming, Chandrababu Naidu wakes up in a rude jerk and starts showering sops on women in the name of Pasupu Kunkuma and other schemes.
During previous elections he promised many sops and owes a huge amount to every household and what he is giving is a pittance. He has promised to waive loans of women groups and farmers but did not fulfil like the numerous other promises.
The Navaratnalu are drafted to benefit all sections of the society and women will get Rs 75,000 towards bank loans and the weaker section women will be getting Rs 75,000 in four instalments under YSR Cheyutha. Under Amma Vodi Rs 15,000 will be credited to the bank account of the mother for sending her two children to school and pensions will be increased to Rs 3,000.
They promised that lawyers who start their practice, would be given a stipend for three years, the pay home-guards, health workers would be increased and petty vendors will be given Rs 10, 000 interest free loans, the leaders said.
Farmers will be given capital investment and the government will guarantee for MSP as well besides setting up of Market Stabilisation Fund and Natural Calamity Fund and completing the irrigation projects to bring in water for irrigation and drinking water.
Fee reimbursement will ensure that weaker sections will have access to professional courses and Aarogyasri will be extended to poorest of poor as well.
There would be no compromise on Special Category Status (SCS) and achieving it will be our goal and we have no tie-up with any political party. It was Chandrababu Naidu who had moved hand in hand with BJP then moved to Left front and again switched loyalties to Modi. He again shifted his loyalties and is now aligned with the Congress.
He changes colours and his stand frequently and always looks for the welfare of himself and his coterie. If he comes back to power there will be anarchy and it is time for the people of the state to vote for change, they said.
