To make way for his son, J Pawan Reddy’s political career, he has abstained from contesting the parliamentary elections.

Meanwhile JC Diwakar Reddy’ s son JC Pawan Reddy, a Nizam college graduate claims that he is not new to politics and has campaigned with his father JC Diwakar Reddy several times. He is hardly seen in the district or even in his home turf of Tadipathri, except for an occasional appearance on and off as he lives in Hyderabad. The local TDP leaders are also not keen on supporting the JC family and Diwaker Reddy’s nasty bouts with the locals have also weakened their reputation and hold in the district. Whether his father’s infamous reputation will get Pawan Reddy through or prove an obstacle in the elections will be known on May 23.

Talari Rangaiah, a former District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Project Director, who took voluntary retirement to join politics, has been quite dynamic in the district activities in his role as a project director and thoroughly aware of the problems in the district at the ground level. He has come to be known as PD (project director ) Rangaiah than his surname and whether it is about the water problem, weavers issues, civic problems etc. With over 20 years of experience in his job he has seen the remotest of villages in the district and understands their problems . As a common man he has given confidence in the locals that he can represent the constituency in the parliament.
