Police distributing money to the voters
Srikakulam:Telugu Desam Party is breaching the model code of conduct with the help of state machinery. TDP has been resorting to the illegal act of distributing money to the voters in Srikakulam district.
Ruling TDP is using the police officers to distribute money for the Palasa TDP candidate Gouthu Sirisha. Police from Vajrapukothuru was caught on camera distributing the money along with the TDP supporters.
YSR Congress Party leaders from the district have complained to the Election Commission of India that the police were taking the side of the TDP.
EC ordered for the transfer of Srikakulam SP Venkataratnam to Head Office, but the situation remains unchanged.
In another instance, the government has filed a petition against the order of EC to transfer Intelligence director AB Venkateswara Rao.
