What Is Role Of Adinarayana Reddy In My Father’s Murder: Sunitha Reddy

Hyderabad: Former MP and minister YS Vivekananda Reddy's daughter, Dr. Sunitha Reddy addressed the media here on Wednesday. She raised doubts about the manner in which the Special Investigation Team (SIT) was probing the murder of her father and ignoring the suspicions of the family members.

Dr. Sunitha reminded media persons that many of them knew him to be a gentle and humble person. "I have some doubts with regard to the investigation," she observed. Dr. Sunitha told media persons that the CI concerned was informed at 6.40 am and when he arrived, her father was lying dead after having been brutally murdered.

The CI knows what happened once he came to the scene of crime, she pointed out. The police took a suspect named Parmeshwar Reddy into custody. She pointed out that at 4.30 am on March 14, Parmeshwar complained of chest pain and got himself admitted in Kadapa Hospital. He was on the phone the entire day and all tests showed that he was normal. Later, he got himself "discharged against medical advice" in the evening. Oddly enough, he meets TDP workers at Haritha hotel and later in the evening insists on re-admission in the same hospital. All these developments seem suspicious, Dr. Sunitha Reddy pointed out. Her pointed question was, "What happened in Haritha?"

Dr. Sunitha Reddy said that these are valid doubts raised by the family members. She also referred to TDP MLC BTech Ravi who claimed in an interview to a channel that his family and that of Parmesh were rivals and had killed members of each other's families in feuds earlier. It was TDP leader Adinarayana Reddy who brought them together, Ravi said, Dr. Sunitha pointed out.

In a very suspicious manner, Parmesh in an interview to a channel reiterates that he has nothing to do with the murder and tries to create an impression that members of the family are behind the crime. Is he an investigating officer? How does he know who committed the crime, she sought to know. He was trying to create an alibi. Dr. Sunitha Reddy added that Parmesh and Adinarayana Reddy were in touch and their own people had confirmed this. Dr. SUnitha said that the police should probe this angle. Despite raising doubts in this matter, police were ignoring this aspect, she said.

She pointed out that for the last few months, her father YS Vivekananda Reddy had been working hard to help YS Avinash Reddy become the local MP, as also help YS Jagan to become the chief minister of the state. Her father was in Jammalamadugu till late in the night of March 14 trying to convince leaders of Jammalamadugu to back YS Avinash. She pointed out that all local leaders in Kadapa knew her father very well. He had been working with booth level workers as well, she said. My father had been trying to unite the leaders of the region and get them to support YS Avinash Reddy as MP.

My father had been in Jammalamadugu for a long time and has a strong connection with all the second line leaders, said Dr. Sunitha Reddy. Adinarayana Reddy knows that YS Vivekananda Reddy is a powerful elder in the region and thinks of removing the obstacle, she said. His aim was to create a sense of fear among the people there and chaos through this murder, she added.

Dr. Sunitha asked the media, as also the investigating authorities to connect the dots and find the link in the meeting between Adinarayana and Parmeshwar Reddy. She observed that winning this election is crucial for Adinarayana Reddy and he probably reckons he would win if YS Vivekananda Reddy is not in the picture.

The SIT team has been given all the information they sought, Dr. Sunitha Reddy said. "They know us better than we know ourselves. They have questioned everyone," she added, but they are getting touchy when questioned on the angle of Adinarayana Reddy's involvement. The police is not paying attention to our doubts in spite of raising suspicions explicitly about the role of Adinarayana Reddy.

Why is Chandrababu protecting Adinarayana Reddy? Was it pre-planned? Why is Chandrababu targetting YSR family? , she demanded to know.

Was Adinarayana Reddy on his own or was he getting instructions from higher-ups? She posed all these questions to the investigating authorities. The probe is proceeding in one single direction and she and other family members are concerned that the TDP would politicise the case further and try to implicate a member from their family.

"We lost my father, our family elder and we, who are victims are being painted as perpetrators," Dr. Sunitha lamented.
