Meet TDP’s Visiting Professor, Industrialist Galla Jayadev

Galla Jaydev - Sakshi Post

Guntur: Guntur MP Galla Jaydev is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Except for his few minutes of fame in the Parliament where he spoke about the Special Category Status, the MP has not made much of an impact in the Constituency from which he is contesting.

YSRCP Guntur MP candidate Modulgula Venugopala Reddy said that Galla Jaydev plays a flying visit to the constituency once a year like a visiting professor might. He may have to eventually change his name to ""Parajaydev"" after the elections are over, he joked.

Touring the constituency along with Mangalagiri Assembly YSRCP Candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, they first visited the Sriram temple and held special prayers before kick-starting their campaign.

Talking to the locals there, Venugopala Reddy said that Nara Lokesh and Galla Jaydev were like Duryodhana and Dussasana brothers . He said that defeat was certain for them in the hands of the YSRCP who are like Krishna and Arjuna in the Mahabharata.

He called on people to cast their vote for Alla Ramakrishna Reddy in whose hands development was possible , unlike Nara Lokesh who was indulging in corrupt activities using his father N Chandrababu's name.

Alla ramakrishna Reddy asked people if Nara Lokesh knew the boundaries and extent of Mangalagiri. He said that Lokesh was claiming to have lived in Mangalagiri for the past three years, but wondered if he even had any idea whether the people of Mangalagiri and Tadepalli municipalities have drinking water or had he at least made an attempt to talk to the officials about it , he questioned.

When the media asked Ramakrishna Reddy to comment on the statement made by Nara Lokesh that he had not sought funds for the development of the state, he said: “ Application seeking funds for the development of Mangalagiri was submitted longtime ago and that he had asked for Rs 7 Crores. He said that he had also gone to the CM's Camp Offfice in Vijayawada and met Chandrababu about the funds.

But instead, Chandrababu sent him away saying that since he was a YSRCP MLA they would not receive funds. He questioned Lokesh whether he knew this or not and it would be better if he checked his facts before talking.
