Fear Of Defeat In Mangalagiri Worries Lokesh?

Nara Lokesh - Sakshi Post

Is Nara Lokesh scared of defeat in Mangalagiri? Some Telugu Desam leaders admit privately that this could be the reason why he has not yet given up his MLC position.

Clearly, Lokesh does not want to lose both the Assembly and Council seats should be lose in Mangalagiri in the April 11 elections. Lokesh is pitted against an extremely popular leader of the YSR Congress Party, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, whom the people of the constituency know as RK.

A grassroots politician, RK is the man of the masses who has contributed a lot to Mangalagiri in spite of the hurdles created by a vindictive TDP government. TDP barely made it with the help of Jana Sena and BJP in 2014 but was scared of fielding Nara Lokesh and was therefore given a seat in council.

This backdoor entry earned him a cabinet position. But unlike his Cabiney colleague Somireddy and MLA Ramasubba Reddy, Lokesh is clinging on to his MLC position.

Realising that Mangalagiri is not going to be a cake walk for him, Lokesh and his team are using surveys to delete the names of voters, YSRCP leaders allege.
