We Have Lost A True Leader: YS Jagan On Manohar Parrikar
Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSRCP President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed profound grief on the death of former Union Defence Minister and Goa Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar.
Conveying his condolences to the Parrikar family, the YSRCP Chief in his post on Twitter shared that the country has lost a true leader.
Manohar Parrikar passed away after a two-year-long battle with pancreatic cancer in Panaji on Sunday. The former Union Defence Minister's condition was reported to have worsened over the past two days.
Political leaders across the country including President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, condoled the death of Parrikar, hailing him as an unparalleled leader. PM Modi, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh among other leaders will be in Goa on Monday to attend Manohar Parrikar's last rites. The central government announced national mourning on Monday.
