Four TDP youth caughttaking videos in Chinthalur
Alamuru: Four youth who belonged to the ruling party were found taking pictures and videos of people at Chinthaluru village in Godavari district. They were trying to influence voters in the place by asking questions about the beneficiary schemes and other confidential details in the form of videos and pictures.
The youth who came in two different vehicles were caught by the locals when they were taking pictures and video near the Mandal Parishad School and near the Nukambika Temple entrance. When questioned by the locals as to what they were doing, they said that they were associated with Nara Lokesh's and were collecting people's opinions at his behest.
They in turn informed YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) executive secretary Namala Srinivas about this. When questioned again, they gave unrelated answers and that a person names Sandeep from Amaravati had sent them for doing this job, they said.
MPTC Y Meher Prasad stopped them and filed a complaint with the Model Code of Conduct team. The four youth were taken to the police station by ASI T Kranthi Kumar and MPDO TV Surendar Reddy. But the MCC team informed them that a case couldn't be filed as there were no incriminating material like party flags with them.
But YSRCP leader Netha Srinivas filed a formal written complaint with the MCC team and also warned that this matter would be taken up with the State Election Commission.
