TDP Leader Pellakuru Srinivasulu Resigns Over Kovur Ticket

Nellore: TDP leader Pellakuru Srinivasulu Reddy has tendered his resignation to the party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday.
While he hoped to bag the Kovur ticket, the party offering the seat to sitting member Polamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy has left him disappointed.
Speaking to the reporters after submitting his resignation, Mr Reddy said that the policies and the attitude of district unit president Beeda Ravichandra have led him to take the decision of quitting TDP.
Claiming that TDP assured the Kovur seat to him in 2014 with the condition that he would work for the victory of Polamreddy at the time, Srinivasulu Reddy reminded that Polamreddy emerged victorious due to his efforts and hence, sought for the seat for the upcoming elections.
The former TDP leader also said that he was considered for the Nellore rural segment at one point, however, Chandrababu chose Adala Prabhakar Reddy for the seat. He further expressed angst against the party for floating his name for Nellore Lok Sabha seat and neglecting him after.
