YSRCP: Data Belongs To 3.6 Crore Residents Of AP
Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party asserted that Chandrababu Naidu is back to his old ways of trying to confuse people when he cannot give convincing replies. Once again, he has done nothing different. YSRCP as the principal Opposition Party wants to know whether the data shared with IT Grids is that of the 3.6 core residents of Andhra Pradesh or that of the 50 lakh ruling party workers.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, Party senior leader and PAC Chairman in the AP Assembly, Buggana Rajendranath said, ‘Chandrababu Naidu claiming that he would reveal information about the data theft case and meekly reading out the complaint lodged by Vijayasai Reddy shows that he wants to confuse people by saying that there is a conspiracy theory behind it.
It is a fact that our Party General Secretary has lodged not one but four complaints with competent authorities including the Chief Election Commissioner about the large scale missing names in electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh and the collection, linking and transfer of residents’ data.
When names are deleted from the electoral rolls, it is but natural to move the Election Commission which is a natural course and how can the chief minister call it a an conspiracy unless, he wants to confuse the people, he said.
He said that the raids were conducted even before the complaint was lodged but the dates do not match his version. The complaint was lodged much before the action was taken, Buggana said.
‘What we are asking is that whether the data made available through Seva Mitra App to IT Grids belongs to that of the 3.6 residents of the state or the 50 lakh workers of TDP and whether there was a transfer of personal information of people or not. Instead of answering the question directly, he has been beating round the bush to confuse people and floating imaginary conspiracy theories.
He went on record saying that IT Grids Chief Asok Dakavaram will come as and when it becomes necessary which shows that he is aware of his whereabouts. He is presumably sheltering a person wanted in a data theft case. Harbouring an accused or a criminal is tantamount to crime,’ he said.
If there is a conspiracy and TDP government is clean why was the Seva Mitra App modified from February 27 after the data theft case broke out and why were the colour photos and some other information removed. Why has the App been blinking, he asked.
The criminal intent lies on the side of ruling party as the RGTC Technical Advisor to AP Government Vemuri Harikrishna was earlier arrested in the EVM hacking case and he continues to hold the post in the government.
The chief minister should explain how it was possible for the flow of data from Praja Sadhikara Mitra to IT Grid to Seva Mitra App, with voter ID card having colour photos of the voters (of which screen shots are available).
The compromise which Chandrababu Naidu is claiming as goodwill for leaving Hyderabad even though they have a right for ten years was in fact out of fear after his name figured in the cash for vote case, he said.
The senior YSRCP leader raised questions over the security of Andhra Pradesh citizens as Chandrababu said kidnaps will take place and property will be stolen from people.
Many of the government officials had to relocate to Amaravati, which has poor infrastructure and they faced many problems in the past four years as the office lacked even chairs.
Buggana demanded that TDP release a white paper over the issue as it does on other issues.
YSRCP leader pointed out that the device used by Seva Mitra's is equipped with technology so that the location of the device and the applications being used on the device can be tracked.
