Data Theft: Complaint Against Chandrababu For Economic Terrorists Remark Against Telangana - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad/Amaravati: A Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activist, Dinesh Chowdary lodged a complaint with the S.R. Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for comparing the Telangana government probing the data theft case, to "terrorists."

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister hurt the feelings of the people of Telangana with his objectionable remarks, and were aimed at damaging the image of Telangana, the complaint said. It sought the registration of a case against the Andhra Pradesh chief minister.

Chandrababu Naidu took his frustration to new levels with respect to the Data Theft case on Thursday, when he called the Centre and the Telangana government economic terrorists. The TDP supremo accused them of foisting cases and causing "mental torture".

Referring to the registration of case against an IT firm in Hyderabad for alleged theft of data of voters in Andhra Pradesh through a mobile app of ruling TDP, he termed it as a case against the state government and asserted he would protect the sovereign rights of his state. How a case against IT Grids India Private Ltd., could be interpreted as a case against the state government is something Chandrababu Naidu is yet to explain.

Addressing a press conference here, a rattled Naidu alleged the Centre and the Telangana governments were striking at the economic roots.

Trying to deflect the attention from the main issue of data breach by IT Grids India Private Ltd., and Bluefrog Mobile Technologies which were given sensitive personal information related to citizens of AP, Chandrababu instead trained his guns on the Centre and the KCR government. "Both the Government of India and the Telangana government are working as economic terrorists. They are causing mental torture and killing the leadership.

Attacking his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Naidu questioned what was his connection with Andhra Pradesh and how the case was registered. Clearly, Chandrababu seemed to be ignorant of the law although he is reported to have gone into a huddle immediately after the data breach case broke out.

Chandrababu appeared to forget that it was Hyderabad-based IT Grids, a small private company which was responsible for developing the TDP's app, Seva Mitra which was in possession of personal information of data relating to the citizens of AP, including their Aadhaar card numbers, bank account details and other particulars.

Cyberabad police in Hyderabad had conducted searches at the firm and said that they had seized incriminating material, including computer hard discs. A special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case. Police have issued notices to Amazon Web Services and Google Play as they were said to have stored the app database in their servers.

TRS working president K T Rama Rao had said Telangana police was only probing the charges as per a complaint and asked Naidu why he should fear a probe if he had not done anything wrong.
