MP Avanthi Srinivasa Rao Resigns From TDP Joins YSRCP
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam party, which is in power in Andhra Pradesh, suffers a major blow as TDP MP from Anakapalli Avanthi Srinivasa Rao has joined the YSRCP on Thursday.
He has met the leader of opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and conveyed his dissatisfaction over the administration of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and TDP.
Later in the presence of the YS Jagan, Avanthi Srinivasa Rao has joined the party. TDP is getting a blow after the another right before the elections. The surveys are predicting that YS Jagan is going to win the elections and meanwhile all the key leaders, who are fed up with Chandrababu, are joining the YSRCP.
Already, TDP MLA from Chirala Amanchi Krishna Mohan has announced that he is going to join the party. The very next day after Amanchi left, this key leader also came out of the party. Avanhti Srinivasa Rao is known for his good in the area and won as the MLA from Bheemli constitunecy on the Praja Rajyam party ticket.
As the Praja Rajyam party merged with Congress, he joined TDP and won the Ankapalli MP seat. Talking to the media Srinivasa Rao said “respecting the values of YS Jagan, he has resigned from the party and as an MP to join the YSRCP.”
Also present were Vijayasai Reddy, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Botsa Satyanarayana, Amanchi Krishna Mohan and others.
